Some interesting questions raised. Re-think, yes. But we need good thinking to carry us forward. Too many disastrous ideologies have brought us here.

I know here in Canada our economy is in very, very bad shape and we're on the cusp of re-electing for a 4th term the extremist radicals who gutted it under the now leadership of Mark Carney. From our vantage point, I believe we need an economic "re-think" or Canada will face the mathematical reality of economic and social collapse. We're already experiencing the tremors before the big quake. USA pay attention to our mistakes!

Canada may be tougher than the US in terms of the various regions, and what works for Vancouver won't work for Winnipeg, Quebec, etc. Then, there are smaller towns and cities spread across vast areas of open landscape. On a smaller scale, Washington State has a hard time with Seattle trying to make decisions on what is best for Spokane - they're like two different states separated by a mountain range and vastly different ways of life.

What economy? Last week in the name of company reorganization, my pension was frozen, lost 2 vacation days, health care cost went up, vacation accrual dropped, and on. Company is making money hand over fist. Layoffs occurred a week prior. Not feeling the love.... I should retire.
